Normally, I'm a fan of battle rifles, preferably the M1A. There are times, however, when one will need to "spray and pray" with a good battle carbine (such as when confronting zombie hordes). I always wished I could own a Sig 550 for such purposes, but us non-military or law enforcement, we U.S. civilians cannot legally own or obtain this fine rifle. However, we can now get an offshoot of it specifically made for the U.S. market -- the Sig 556:

nah. you dont ever need to spray and pray. if you want to shoot a fully auto weapon right, you aim.

people who dont aim with automatic weapons dont hit with them either.

Agreed. "Spray and pray" is too loose a term. Perhaps I should have said "full auto sweep" or something less suggestive of leaving the outcome to chance.
